What I do at Good Energy
Hello there! I have a Welsh name but as it involves rolling the “R” you can call me “Mi-ya”!
I am our Talent Development and Inclusion Partner at Good Energy and I look after the Talent Development and Knowledge Management of those within our Operations Teams, as well as being responsible for looking after our Inclusion Champions and pushing our ED&I agenda across Good Energy.

Who am I?
I initially started my career in the hospitality sector, where I began my journey in training. However, with a strong aspiration to establish my career in a larger business setting, I transitioned into customer-facing roles at Good Energy. Over the course of the last six years, my tenure with the company has provided me with invaluable opportunities for learning, growth, and skill refinement across various roles.
What truly excites me is my passion for the industry. I take genuine delight in dispelling the notion that it's mundane and find joy in sharing the dynamic and engaging aspects of it with others.
Advice for prospective candidates
Remember that our culture and who our people are matter to us, so we want to see who you are shine through as much as we want to see what you can do.
My biggest struggle when interviewing is I use the term “we” a lot, "we did this" and "we did that". Instead of using I! So make sure when you’re thinking of your examples, you pull out what you did and what your results were!
