What I do at Good Energy

I head up our communications team, which means I oversee all of our relations with the media, drive our internal communications to make sure our people are up to speed with everything across the business and generally look after the brand and reputation of Good Energy. Communications works closely with other teams across the business, including P&C on internal comms, investor relations on corporate comms, marketing on our social media, PR and content, and policy on our public affairs. 

Who am I?

My background is working in comms within agencies. Before the five years I’ve been at Good Energy I had spent more than 10 years working with businesses and organisations of all sizes and industries on their PR and communications strategies. 

Advice for prospective candidates

The best advice I can offer candidates applying for a role at Good Energy is to do your research and show your passion. We are a purpose led business, and we are in a complicated industry, one in which we are evolving strategically. I wouldn’t expect a candidate to necessarily know everything about what we do and the industry we’re in. But if you can show in an application or first interview that you’ve done some research and can explain why and how you can help us on our purpose and strategy — that’s really going to help.
